EVENTS CALENDAR 2010

August

1st (Sunday) Swanage Carnival [confirmed] TBA Club fancy dress theme is Super Heroes and Villains and we intend to 'perform' Superman by Black Lace although both are entirely optional. The more bikes the better to put on a good display as we wowed the crowd last year. Please meet at the Sandford Hotel, Sandford, Wareham 12:00 for 12:30 start.

8th (Sunday) Ride to the Ace Cafe for the Vinatge Motorcycle Club Day and then on to the London Motorcycle Museum. TBA

7th-8th (Saturday-Sunday) Possible camping weekend at the Skylark Showground for the International Motorbike Show raising funds for Help For Heroes. All UK and International Bike Clubs and owners get a free stand, free camping, free Friday and Saturday night entertainment. TBA

22nd (Sunday) Purbeck Rally. Ride in and perform our 'legendary' arena display. Free entry to the show to enjoy the many entertainments and exhibits on offer which include miniature steam, classic cars, military vehicles, Tigers motorcycle display team, Wessex birds of prey, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and tractors (not necessarily Harleys). TBA

27th-30th (Friday-Monday) Camping weekend on the Isle of Wight at Waverley Park, East Cowes. The site has a bar with nigthly entertainment, a pool and the usual showers and washroom. They also have a special deal with the ferry company. Please make individual bookings as per your own requirements for length of stay. See their website for full details.

 

September

4th (Saturday) BBQ to celebrate Ray's 50th birthday. All club members are invited to the BBQ at Ray and Sue's place starting at 3pm.

5th (Sunday) The Wild Ride. 'Ride to Blandford to collect Mr Jimmy Wilds for a ride in the country and lunch. Jimmy is 92 years old and rode a Norton all through the Second World War and also worked as Winston Churchill's Despatch Rider. He is a really nice chap and is keen to join the club for a day. Timings and details to follow as I am in discussion with his carer. Paul Fee.' Meet at the Roadside Cafe, Corfe Mullen 11:45 for 12:15 start.

10th/11th (Friday/Saturday) Euro auto jumble Netly Marsh TBA

12th (Sunday) The Chairman's Rider Cup. Join the Chairman for a fun game of golf at Hengistbury Head. The day includes tea/coffee plus a bacon roll on arrival followed by 18 holes of golf. Beginners are welcome and clubs can be provided if you don't have them. All for the amazingly cheap price of £10 per head. Names to Paul at Clubnight.

19th (Sunday) Cruiser Day at the Ace Cafe TBA

24th (Friday) Skittles Night – Hamworthy Club – 7.30pm. Details to follow.

 

Ocotober

29th (Friday) Winter Party (Fancy dress Optional) Poole Stadium. Details to follow.

 

November

13th (Saturday) Glastonbury Carnival TBA

18th (Thursday) Clubnight followed by a Quiz. Details to follow.
